Spy Journal 3.0 Filtering the web for you

Got lots of things to share today.

Starting off with Windows 7:

• Engineering Windows 7 have listed a bunch of changes made to Windows 7 since the Beta was released.
• They have also written a very interesting article about how they built the Windows 7 Boot Animation.
• The Windows Team Blog has a list of the new Windows Media Centres features in Windows 7.

Crossing to Windows Home Server we have these posts:

• Susan the SBS Diva blogs about Backing up the desktops in a small network.
• Windows Home Server Team link to an article about synching two Windows Home Servers using SyncToy. I use Synch Toy a lot to keep numerous folder pairs synchronised. Combined with Livemesh this makes keeping the data between my server and my clients servers synched a cinch!

Now over to Microsoft Office:

It is hard to write about inane gadgets and web stuff while the horrific conflict in Gaza continues. I hope Israel can rout out the monsters who use innocent civilians and children as human shields while they perpetrate their hatred.

As some commentators have asked, which generation will decide to end the hatred? It must take so much resolve for Israel to go in and brave the international outcry from uninformed bigots and even attacks from within their own country. I hope they do not bow to pressure and stop until they have destroyed both the infrastructure for terror and the leaders of this organisation. Maybe then the mothers will have a chance to teach their children forgiveness and tolerance without the rabid fanatics brainwashing them with hatred of their neighbours. I have belatedly created a last.fm account so you can track my music collection and listening preferences. It seems skewed a little, but that is maybe because i listen to random play all a lot.

The High Calling Blogs network (of which I am a part) has a group writing project titled What I learned from Government being hosted by Robert Hruzek.

I have written a  little bit about government here on this blog, but it isn’t really a topic I write about much.

However I do have a confession – I don’t vote.

Now I am not an American so had nothing to do with the recent elections there, though I did vote Obama on the world votes and If the world could vote.
