Drupal Handbook
Up until now all the Drupal sites I have developed have been using version 4.5.2. Right now though I am setting up 2 4.6.3 websites.
The first is a test site for myself and the second is for a client. I will link it once it goes live.
There are quite a lof of substantial differences. First Rohan my techie found that their were a number of diffreences in setting up the database and adding modules.
The set up of the site is different in anumber of ways also.
- User access control is no longer found under users configure but has its own menu item. Took me a while to work that out!
- The event module (non standard) no longer is enabled as its own content type, in fact any other content type is now added to an existing type(s) as you need.
- The image module no longer has bulk upload - I will have to find another module for that.
I have found a great website with lots of support and help for various modules. Bryght has lots of very helpful information. It would appear that the site is largely a user guide for their own people as they build sites with some supported modules. I will be adding it to my favorites!
