What is your reason/motivation for blogging?

I blog to keep track of things I've learnt, to connect with friends, to make new friends, and to share solutions to problems I've had- both online and in 'real life'.

What is it that you find yourself blogging about, mostly the same stuff or does it vary?

It tends to vary! I often think I should have multiple blogs, but after years of doing that, I've brought it all back into one. I blog about marriage, tech bits, creative things I've done (mostly online), events I've attended, photos I've edited... anything that interests me really!

What style of blogging do you tend to use: short and regular, or not so regular but long, other? And is your blogging  text + photos or do you also use audio/ video?

I blog text + photo in short, 'regular' posts. I have occasionally dabbled in videos- if they're interesting/relevant- mostly ones I've made myself.

42-15530438 How Talia became a Geek Girl Blogger:

I became a girl geek blogger way back in 2005. That may not seem that long ago to some, but considering I am only 22 this year, it's a considerable chunk of my independent life. I started blogging just about general things- friends, parties, life etc. and started blogging more about 'tech' things when I installed my first linux OS- Ubuntu. I guess my geek blogging rose out of a desire to help people with issues they might have when they set up a linux distro for the first time. Over time my focus has changed- from Linux to teaching (I have a Bachelor of Learning Management), to eLearning. My thoughts are always on how I can help people learn new things, and to share things with other people.

Thanks for reading our latest GGB survey…
