Windows Live SkyDrive is quite handy for online file storage. All your important files available to you online and accessible anywhere that has a internet connection. SkyDrive is password protected storage that allows you to upload 1 GB of files into either the personal, shared and public folders and you get to decide who has access to what.
The service is all done using a secure, authenticated, encrypted HTTPS URL. You can upload from the main page or the folder page, and you can upload five files at a time. While you're uploading, the site displays a bouncing beach ball. When you want to start sharing, you can create a new folder, and when you go to name it, you get a choice of allowing anyone on the internet access to it or specified people. Alternatively, you can click Folder Options after clicking into an existing folder, and choose "Change permissions." When you change the setting to Anyone on the Internet, the folder will be moved to Public Folders in the main interface. When you choose "People I choose…" a check box list of MSN/Live/.NET account holders you already correspond with using mail or Live Messenger pops up, and you can designate them as Readers or Contributors.
